Nick Cowie graduated first in his class (day class 1988) from the University of Baltimore School of Law where he served as an editor on the Law Review. Since 1999, Nick has taught construction law at University of Baltimore School of Law as an Adjunct Professor and is the author of “Construction Law: Cases and Materials.” Nick is also the instructor for the Community Association Institute seminar course entitled, Successful Strategies for Resolving Construction Defect Disputes with Developers.
Nick is highly regarded for his knowledge of construction defect law and regularly testifies in both houses of the Maryland legislature on construction defect issues. Nick is best known for handling complex construction defect cases on behalf of Condominium Associations. Mr. Cowie's trial and appellate work has shaped condominium construction defect law in Maryland.
